How to get to Jena?

To get an impression where Jena is situated in Germany, please have a look at this map. If you intend to use one of the low budget airlines, try to fly into one of these airports:

Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) : Air-Berlin, Condor, easyJet, germanwings, Hapagfly, LTU, transavia.com, Ryanair, VirginExpress; 3 hours by train, 1 change
Leipzig/Halle (LEJ) : Air-Berlin, Austrian, Condor, germanwings, Hapagfly, Hapag-lloyd Express; 2 hours by train, 1 change
Erfurt (ERF) : Air-Berlin, Hapagfly, Ryanair; 1 hour by train, 1 change
Altenburg/Nobitz (AOC) : Ryanair; 2 hours by train, 2 changes

By Train

Depending on the direction you come to Jena, you will arrive at the train station "Jena Paradies" or "Jena West". Both train stations are in a 15 minute walking distance from the city center. Buses, trams and taxis are available. Please use the information system of the German railway company.

By Car

Jena is near the highway junction A4/A9. The city center is easy to find. Parking sites are available at the hotels and in the city center (parking fees).
Some driving distances: Berlin-Jena: 260 km, 2.5 hours; Frankfurt-Jena: 300 km, 3 hours; Munich-Jena: 370 km, 3.5-4 hours;
